Rough Purchasing

Our experts around the world utilize fluorescence to sort “roughs” for “potentials.” Markers then use OGI machines and other laser-marking technology to mark the stones for sawing and to ensure an exact cut. Our trained staff checks and rechecks each stone identified for sawing.

We input parameters of the rough parcels such as expected color range, expected purity, and expected yield into our sophisticated coding and tracking system. Our professional stock managers evaluate and continuously monitor each parcel as it goes through production.
